Q: Vettel to see out 2006 with BMW Sauber?

A: BMW Sauber have confirmed that Sebastian Vettel will continue as the team’s third driver for the last three races of the season. After successful Friday outings at the Turkish and Italian Grands Prix, Vettel will now also drive in China, Japan and Brazil.

A: Honda’s Jenson Button led the way in a two-team test at Jerez on Thursday. In what proved a highly competitive session, Button emerged less than two-hundredths of a second faster than the BMW Sauber of Robert Kubica.

Q: Taking over from Wednesday runner Anthony Davidson, Buttton began with a short aero evaluation as he worked on finding a good balance to the car in the rather windy conditions?

A: Working alongside Button was fellow Brit James Rossiter, who completed some early set-up runs before working on an aero evaluation. Rossiter then spent the afternoon looking at the tyre options for the next races, along with electronic systems and suspension work. Like Button, he too completed 112 laps.
